Spend several days exploring the mountains, walking through nature and sleeping under the stars, accompanied by a local mountain guide who will share their knowledge and experience along the way. A trekking adventure allows us to disconnect from everyday life and enjoy the mountains at a slower pace.
During these hikes, we spend the night in mountain refuges, outdoors with our tent or sleeping under the stars in a bivouac.
We also offer treks in the Pyrenees adapted for families.
Our treks mainly take place in the Pyrenees, but also in other mountain ranges around the world, including the Alps, Morocco’s Atlas Mountains and the Himalayas in Nepal.
These routes are designed for families and groups who are new to the mountains or have little hiking experience. With gentle climbs and moderate daily distances, that can be adapted to the group’s abilities. Accompanied by our certified mountain guides, you’ll discover the joy of spending several days in nature, taking your first steps into the world of multi-day trekking at your own pace. The little ones will have plenty of fun, with activities along the way!
For those ready to take on a little more in the mountains, these treks offer a good balance of activity and time to enjoy the scenery. Expect gradual climbs and descents, varied landscapes and beautiful viewpoints along the way. A moderate level of fitness is recommended, and our guides will be there to help you make the most of each day.
Do you like a hiking challenge and already have some experience in the mountains? These treks offer the chance to explore more demanding terrain and reach incredible places. The hikes have significant elevation gain and occasional technical sections. Accompanied by our certified mountain guides, each route brings something new. It takes good fitness and determination, but the reward is well worth it: varied mountain landscapes, a steady sense of progress and the satisfaction of completing each stage.
Together with our partner travel agencies, Guías del Pirineo takes you to mountain regions around the world, where you can discover their landscapes, peaks, local cultures, and mountain life that make each place unique.
We believe in responsible tourism. Our trips combine hiking in the mountains with discovering local communities and traditions. Through our guides’ knowledge and connections, you’ll have the chance to meet local people and share experiences with your fellow travellers.
At Guías del Pirineo, we want to share our love for nature and the mountains. It’s about connecting with nature, discovering new places and appreciating the environment around us.
A mountain guide is a qualified professional who knows the mountains well and has the training and experience to safely guide individuals and groups through different mountain environments.

The added value of trekking with a mountain guide goes beyond showing you the way. One of the most important aspects is safety. We know the terrain we guide in, adapt to changing weather and trail conditions and are trained to respond to emergencies.
Our mountain guides also focus on:
When trekking around the world, connecting with local people is an essential part of the experience. After years of organising trips abroad, we’ve built friendships with local agencies and the communities that welcome us.
These connections help us deal with unexpected situations along the way and make the experience even more rewarding for travellers who want to get to know the mountains and the people who call them home.
We love sharing the mountains with families! We plan multi-day treks in different parts of the Pyrenees, choosing routes that suit each family and their children’s ages.
Up for a trek with the family? We’ll get in touch with you to understand your needs, from the children’s ages and experience in the mountains to the kind of adventure you’re looking for. We then plan a route that everyone can enjoy, at a pace that feels right for the whole family.
Examples:

Along the way, our guides make sure everyone has a great time! We mix fun challenges for the children with activities that help the whole family discover nature and learn more about the park.
Did you know we have our own mountain activity booklets for children? They can take them along on the trek and enjoy exploring the national parks in their own way!
Every family is different, and we’re here to help you find the right adventure for yours. If you’re not sure whether a trek is suitable for your children, feel free to get in touch. We’ll ask you a few questions, so we can help you choose a route that suits the whole family.
